What a lesson is now

We built to that, exactly. A lesson is no longer a page of text. It is a sequence of steps, one on screen at a time, and the child cannot see the whole lesson at once or skip ahead.
Every step is the same four things: a clip of the characters doing the thing — never a slide of text. Three or four points beside it, in the page, so the same film can be reused and translated. A decision, below the player, after the clip ends. Feedback — a right answer opens the next step, and a wrong answer never does. It explains why it is wrong and lets the child try again.
Nothing is read to pass. The child watches, chooses, and sees the result.
Thirteen lessons in the new format
Every badge is represented, so you can see it holding up against very different material — a key, a code word, a fire triangle, a 911 call. Try getting an answer wrong on purpose. That is the part worth seeing.

What happens next
The structure of these thirteen is finished. The films that go inside them are being made now — you will see orange panels on some steps describing the clip that belongs there. That is our working note to ourselves, left visible on purpose so you can see exactly what is coming and where it lands.

Two things only we need from you
1. The safety wording. Every step asks the child to choose, and the feedback tells them why a wrong answer is wrong. That is your teaching, tightened — and it is yours to approve. Please read Gifts, secrets, and adults you know closely, particularly the bathing suit rule and “keep telling until an adult does something”. Anything you would say differently, say it and we use your words.
2. Two answers still outstanding from 11 August. Is the end-of-module quiz the badge challenge, or is the challenge something done away from the screen? And your closing line — “plan the next steps with your family” — implies a written family agreement. Is that the family contract you have used before, and do you still have the original?
