You Are Traffic

There is one sentence in the vehicle code of nearly every place this course is sold, and it hands you both halves of the road at once: a rider is granted all of the rights and is subject to all of the duties of the driver of a vehicle. This badge is what that sentence actually buys you and what it actually costs you — where in the lane you belong and what the two positions are called, how to take the lane and give it back, the four things the far-right rule does not say, the four feet next to a parked car, both lawful ways to turn left, and the strategy that every riding programme in the world saves until last.
