Paths and People

Everything so far has been about you and the traffic. This badge is about the people who are not in traffic at all — walking, running, pushing a pram, holding a lead — on a strip of tarmac you are crossing at three or four times their speed. There is one finding underneath the whole thing, and it is the reason this badge exists: in a hospital series of e-bike and scooter crashes, the people who were struck on foot came off worse than the riders who hit them. So: keep right, pass on the left, announce and then wait, how fast is too fast for right now, how much room a person actually needs, and what changes when there are six of you.
