Fire needs three things
- Fire safety is as easy as 1-2-3: prevent, detect, escape.
- A fire needs FUEL, OXYGEN and HEAT.
- Paper plus a lit match plus air equals fire.
- Take one away and the fire goes out. Everything else in this badge is a version of that.

Which is why it is stop, drop and roll
- If your clothes catch fire and you run, the fire burns harder — running feeds it more oxygen.
- Stop. Drop. Roll. Rolling on the ground takes the oxygen away and puts it out.
- Cover your face with your hands while you roll.
- People forget that last part, and it is the part that protects you.

Step 1 — The fire triangle. Animated triangle: FUEL, OXYGEN, HEAT. Paper, a lit match, air. Then each corner removed in turn and the flame going out each time. Clean graphic film, no house fire.
Step 2 — Stop. Drop. Roll.. Demonstration, no visible flame on a child: the running figure, then the correct sequence, hands covering the face throughout the roll. The hands-over-face beat is the part everybody omits and it must be clearly shown.
