The In a Crowd Badge Challenge
6 questions from the 3 lessons in this badge. You need every one right, and you can try as many times as you like.
Step 1 of 6
1Decide
You have just walked into a big shopping centre. Which is the meeting point?
Right. It is near where you came in, it has staff, it does not move, and it has a sign you can see over heads. The fountain fails on one thing: there are six benches, and you will each pick a different one.
Nearly. The car means going outside on your own, and you cannot see it from inside. The first shop is somewhere you will have left by the time it matters. A meeting point needs a sign, a member of staff, and to be somewhere you can point to from the door.
Pick the right one to carry on.
2Find them
What makes a meeting point good?
Tap the ones that count.
Find all 4.
3Decide
You are in the middle of the market. The meeting point is the clock tower at the entrance.
Right. The clock tower is where your parent goes when they cannot find you, so it is where you go. If you cannot see it or cannot get to it, the other right answer is stand still where you are. Both beat moving through the crowd looking.
That is searching. Going back the way you came only works if they went back too, and they did not. Walking round is you moving while they move, which is how you both miss each other for an hour. Go to the point, or stay put.
Pick the right one to carry on.
4Find them
Which of these are right in the first minute?
Tap the ones that count.
Find all 4.
5Decide
Who do you walk toward?
Right. The uniform is a reason you can say out loud. So is a till, and so is a parent with a pushchair, because somebody looking after their own kids will look after you for two minutes. You walk up. You do not wait.
Look at who chose whom. The man may be perfectly nice. But he came to you, and you cannot tell anything from that. The teenagers are not a reason either. Find the uniform, the counter, or the parent with children, and go to them.
Pick the right one to carry on.
6Find them
Which of these are people you would pick?
Tap the ones that count.
Find all 4.
