The certificate, redesigned — two directions, and a bigger idea
Two straightforward certificate layouts, rebuilt with new badge artwork and with “Badge Challenge” removed. These are proposals to react to, not decisions — nothing here is published into the course. There is also a more ambitious option: see the Badge Board proposal, which turns this sheet into something the child gets on day one rather than at the end.
1. Please send the original certificate artwork. You offered it, and I would rather design against it than around never having seen it.
2. The brand typeface. No font has ever been supplied, so everything here is set in a system sans. That is fine on screen and not fine on something a child prints and keeps. If there is a brand font, this is the moment it matters.
Direction A — Classic award
Closer to a traditional certificate, which is what you said you preferred about the original. Double rule, centred, the child’s name as the hero, badges along the foot as evidence rather than decoration.

Direction B — Modern
The child’s name is the largest thing on the page rather than the word “certificate.” Reads more like something a ten-year-old would put on a bedroom wall, and reproduces better at small sizes and in black and white.

The badge artwork
Seven distinct shapes and seven distinct colour worlds. Each badge is a small illustrated scene with a child in it rather than a symbol on a flat coloured field, sized to survive being shrunk to a progress dot in the course or blown up to sticker size.
Every First Aid mark is a green cross — now a standing rule across everything, not a one-off fix.
Three things I checked that you did not ask about
Every First Aid badge here uses a green cross. Following your instruction on the first aid kit, I treated it as a rule rather than a one-off, so none of the three sets carries a red cross.
Your original 2018 First Aid badge is fine. I went and looked, because if it had carried a red cross it would need replacing everywhere. It does not — it is a red case with lettering and no cross at all. Nothing to fix.
One thing to decide, though. The phrase “badge challenge” is also spoken in the introduction narration and appears in its captions — that wording came from you, in your note of 10 August, so I have not touched it. You have asked for it to come off the certificate, which is done here. Tell me if you want it out of the narration too, and I will recut that line.
