Brandon on a shopping street; narration about who is trustworthy. A gibberish AI shop sign is BLURRED OUT from 1.30 to 8.50.

Built: 2017 picture with a tracked gaussian blur added 17 Aug

The sign read ‘Caoke / Tameo’. Blurred rather than re-animated so the original performance is kept.

Lesson 5 shot 2
5.02   0:15.00 – 0:23.40re-animated

Butterflies as unease – grey-blue, agitated, Brandon unsure. Gate at 20.72.

Built: Re-animated 17 Aug

5.02   0:10.60 – 0:14.12re-animated

UNCOMFORTABLE – shoulders in, chin down, eyes glancing away.

Built: Re-animated 17 Aug (job 102)

Original used the identical frown for uncomfortable and scared. Re-shot again later the same day to remove a backpack that appeared mid-film.

Lesson 5 shot 1
5.01   0:00.00 – 0:08.042017 original

The RIDE alarm – a man leans out of a car at the curb and offers Brandon a lift.

Built: 2017 export, picture untouched

Measured, not assumed: the line ‘offers you a ride’ is spoken 6.02-7.06 and this picture runs to 8.04, so this line was already on its own picture.

Lesson 5 shot 2
5.02   0:08.04 – 0:16.562017 original

The GIFT alarm – a man kneels and holds out a wrapped present.

Built: 2017 export, picture untouched

‘Offers you an expensive gift’ is spoken 10.98-12.58, inside this picture. Also already correct.

Lesson 5 shot 3
5.03   0:16.56 – 0:19.10re-animated

The photographer stands UPRIGHT at his full height with a wide gap of grass between him and Brandon, phone at his own chest height; Brandon holds a flat palm up.

Built: RE-ANIMATED 20 Aug (job fe9e7b79, take 2). Take 1 came back with him bent over again because the shipped frame was passed as an image reference and the picture beats the text – so take 2 was driven from a NEW start image (job 87d850bc) that stages him standing four metres away.

VELMA: ‘That’s creepy. Maybe we have him not bend over and be in his face like that. Be more natural.’ – punch item F6. The window also moved from 16.52-20.82 to 16.56-19.10 so the picture changes when the SECRET line starts, not 1.7s into it.

5.04   0:19.10 – 0:23.50re-animated

An adult holds one finger upright against his own lips – the keep-it-quiet sign – and holds it. Gate at 21.90. Player STOPS at 22.30.

Built: RE-ANIMATED 20 Aug (job 2c46b3b5, take 1). Window starts at 2.00s of the take, which is where the finger reaches the lips; anything earlier shows it still climbing.

THERE WAS NO SHUSH ANYWHERE IN THE FILM. Spencer: ‘make sure you synchronize… the finger over his lips… at the point where the voice says that.’ The secret line is spoken 19.18-21.28 and the old picture did not change until 20.88 – 1.7s late, and when it did change it was only the photographer standing up. Now the gesture is at the lips within 0.12s of the cut – punch item F6.

5.05   0:23.50 – 0:25.082017 original

6.02   0:07.30 – 0:09.89re-animated

Built: Re-animated 17 Aug (job 21)

Original had him miming a full line into 1.5s of silence.

Lesson 6 shot 3
6.03   0:09.89 – 0:17.10re-animated

The driver speaks both his lines, animated, in frame to his last word.

Built: RE-ANIMATED 19 Aug (job 47774b33). The WOMAN now leans out and delivers the accident line, flat and businesslike per RULE-never-perform-the-lure, with the man at the wheel. Take 1 accepted.

Original held a closed-mouth grin through both lines and drifted out of frame mid-sentence. VELMA: make it a man AND a woman, with the woman speaking – punch item G2.

The teenager stands holding his bicycle, waits, then asks directions; Brandon visibly replies while the stranger is still there. Gates at 15.50, 22.00, 22.60.

Built: Re-animated 17 Aug (t32_bike_full)

Original had him performing 4-5s early and holding a smartphone while asking a child for directions – both fixed. TWO DEFECTS REMAIN: Brandon’s trousers drift from tan to blue inside this shot (a re-take came back worse and was rejected), and the stranger is gone the moment this shot ends – see the next shot.

Lesson 7 shot 3
7.03   0:22.37 – 0:27.402017 original

Brandon walks on. THE STRANGER IS GONE AND THE BICYCLE STANDS RIDERLESS from 22.6s.

Built: RE-ANIMATED 19 Aug (job db09a4d6). The teenager keeps both hands on the handlebars to the end of the shot; the bike is never left standing on its own. This is the tail I previously claimed was fixed and had not touched. Take 1 accepted.

Velma found this 18 Aug – punch item H3. I had recorded the riderless bike as fixed; it was only fixed inside the re-animated middle, and this tail reintroduces it. Also: narration and caption disagree on ‘video store’ vs ‘video game store’ – punch item H1.

Fixed the two-Brandons defect, but introduced a worse one: the door is open in the lesson that teaches you not to open it. Velma found it 18 Aug – punch item I2. The doors also do not match: blue outside, white panelled inside.
