Riding a straight line
Two chalk lines, a foot and a half apart, run away across empty tarmac. Ride in at one end. Halfway down, the front wheel touches the left-hand line. No traffic and nothing dramatic. A drift of about eight inches over thirty feet, which on a road is the difference between your bit of it and somebody else's.
