Helmets
You can fit your own helmet and pass all three checks.

Two fingers

Two fingers. That is the gap between your eyebrows and the helmet.

Three checks
Eyes. Ears. Chin.
Eyes: two fingers fit between your eyebrows and the helmet.
Ears: the straps make a V under each ear.
Chin: one finger fits under the strap. No more.
Three checks, every time you put it on. Soon your hands do it on their own.
3The idea
Level, and done up
A helmet on the back of your head protects your hair. Tip it level so it covers your forehead.
A loose strap means the helmet comes off first, before you land. Level, and done up. Then it stays on when it matters.

Noah and the end of the street
Noah is only going to the end of the street. His friend says helmets are for babies.
The end of the street has a road in it. Most falls happen close to home, because that is where you ride most. Close is not a reason. Noah does eyes, ears, chin, then goes.
