Somebody is left out. You noticed. That is the first job, and most people skip it.
Noticing is the first job. One small thing is the second. You do not have to fix everything. One wave is enough.

What a small thing is
A wave. Sit next to them for a minute. Say hi and use their name. Tell them the rules of the game.
Small is the point. You do it now, on your own, in one second. No grown-up needed.

Sam’s friend wanted to hide the new kid’s shoes. Just a joke. Sam said no thanks, and went back to the game.
Sam was still kind to his friend. He just did not do that. You can be kind and still say no. Both at once.
